So in my mission we have a saying which is: Step out of your comfort zone and into the Miracle Zone! This past week I have definitely been in the Miracle Zone!
On Wednesday we had a lesson with an investigator named Joe. He loves us and he knows the gospel is true, but for the past two years he never has been able to go through with a baptismal date. So for our lesson President and Sister Hiers decided to join us. It was so nerve racking to have our Mission President sit in on a lesson with us. I was so nervous that I would mess up, but the spirit was so strong and never lets you say the wrong things. The lesson went perfect and President Hiers extended the invitation to be baptized this past Sunday. Unfortunately since Joe is a people pleaser he accepted the date but didn't show up to our following lessons or to church so he was not able to be baptized. It was a little frustrating...... but then he called us yesterday and told us he had a dream (pretty much the first vision) and God told him that he had a choice. God had given him the answers so now he has to choose between the Catholic Church and the Mormon Church. He was nervous, so he asked to meet with us again. He also decided to bring a friend with him. Her name is Leslie and she has had a rough past. She just opened up and told us of her experience with the Mormon Church. While she was in jail an Apostle came to talk to some of the inmates and she decided to go. While she was listening to him talk, she said she just started crying because she knew in her heart everything that he said was the truth, and it made her so happy. So we talked to her about those feelings and invited her to talk to us and find out more about the Church! We are hoping to meet with her again soon!
Another Miracle that we were able to have was with this lady named Julian. She lives across the street from our investigator Arianna. We were outside teaching Arianna about laws and ordinances with chalk, and this lady Julian was backing out of her driveway and saw us, so she pulled up and started talking to us. We found out her niece had just moved in who is nine years old and was looking for a friend. She wanted to know if Arianna wouldn't mind hanging out with her because her niece loves drawing with chalk and she saw us using it. We started talking to her and found out that she was a nondenominational Christian and was disabled, so she hasn't been able to attend church for awhile. We asked her if she would like us to come over and do a bible study with her and she accepted. Before she left she asked us if we wouldn't mind telling her more about our church as well! We were so excited! It was amazing!
The last Miracle occurred as we were on our way to a lesson. Some of our Ward Clerks pulled up and asked if we needed a ride and also gave us a referral for two people! OUT OF NOWHERE! I guess these people just moved in and they were curious about our Church. The Ward Clerks wanted to send us over to their house to help them learn more!
As I have been writing this, I realize that this all happened on Monday, after we had fasted. Fasting is amazing! We had a Stake fast for missionary work and there truly were "miracles" because of it. I feel so blessed to have had these experiences happen to me and to have been able to see how much the Lord blesses us when we step out of our comfort zone and into the Miracle Zone.
I love my mission so much I have never been happier in my life! I feel so blessed to be serving the Lord. Remember to keep in touch and pray for me. Thank you so much for all your love and support. It has truly been a blessing to me.
Till Next Time ;)
